With the development of new industrialization technology, building houses can be done in batches and sets by prefabricating house components in advance, just like machine production.
In the long-term development process, integrated houses and prefabricated houses, as emerging building models, have many similarities, but they are two different concepts.
What is an integrated house?
Integrated houses (also known as movable or removable houses) were born in the late 1950s. Its main concept is to prefabricate walls, roofs, etc. in factories, and process load-bearing structures represented by steel structures according to design requirements, so that they can be quickly assembled into a house.
Integrated houses are composed of structural systems, ground systems, floor systems, wall systems, and roof systems. Each system is composed of several unit modules. The unit modules are manufactured in the factory and assembled on site. Integrated houses are detachable and movable without damaging the land. It has realized the transformation of the "real estate" attribute of houses to the "movable property" attribute for thousands of years, and realized the separation of real estate and "land" in "real estate" for thousands of years.
Prefabricated houses are temporary or permanent houses that are easy to dismantle, install, transport and store, and can be reused and turned over many times. They are widely used in temporary offices and dormitories at construction sites; large-scale field exploration and field operation construction houses such as transportation, water conservancy, oil, and natural gas; temporary houses for urban offices, civil resettlement, exhibitions, etc.; leisure villas and holiday homes in tourist areas; earthquake relief and military fields.
Prefabricated houses
Refers to houses assembled on site with prefabricated components. The advantages of this type of house are fast construction speed, less restrictions on climatic conditions, labor saving and improved building quality. Prefabricated houses began to arouse people's interest in the early 20th century and finally came into being in the 1960s.
Prefabricated houses have the following characteristics
A large number of building components are produced and processed by the workshop. The main types of components are: exterior wall panels, interior wall panels, composite panels, balconies, air conditioning panels, stairs, prefabricated beams, prefabricated columns, etc.
A large number of assembly operations on site are greatly reduced compared to the original cast-in-place operations.
Adopting integrated design and construction of construction and decoration, the ideal state is that the decoration can be carried out simultaneously with the main construction.
The standardization of design and the informatization of management, the more standardized the components, the higher the production efficiency, the corresponding component cost will decrease, and with the digital management of the factory, the cost performance of the entire prefabricated house will become higher and higher.
What is the difference between integrated houses and prefabricated houses?
Similarities
The components are all produced in advance in the factory
On-site construction is more efficient than the traditional construction model, and there are fewer cast-in-place operations
Differences
Use: Integrated houses are more used for temporary and activity houses, which are easy to demolish and turn over;
Prefabricated houses are mainly used for permanent residences. The main features are prefabrication, fast construction speed and high efficiency
